We’re proud to showcase a limited selection of her work, which draws on her Scandinavian heritage, architectural influences, and appreciation for color. She started her home textiles business with her husband after years in the fashion industry, seeking an independent creative outlet and more control over the craft and construction of her designs.

The collection features sustainable, natural fibers like alpaca wool

Sustainable, natural materials are a core consideration of every Johanna Howard piece. She travels straight to the source to evaluate new fibers and mills, from the family-run alpaca (which is every ounce as luxurious as cashmere, but far better for the planet) farms in Peru to the legendary textile artisans in Portugal. “I'm a very tactile person, I like to feel things, and I also like to see how things are.”
