Benches are incredibly versatile pieces of furniture. They’re great in the mudroom, of course, as a place to tie your shoes underneath a coat rack. But they’re also nice to slide under a window for a bright spot to read in the winter, or just decorate with plants. However you use it, it just fits.

Inspired by classic mid-century forms

The iconic hairpin leg, available across our Carta Collection, was born out of necessity: during World War II, engineers had to figure out how to make the strongest possible shapes with the least raw materials. That drive for efficiency is the root of so many mid-century designs, which you’ll see across our library.
