Not ours, though: this performance rug is made with stain-resistant recycled polyester, so it’s sustainable and easy to clean. On top of that, it won’t shed like a traditional wool rug, so you don’t have to worry about your living room getting covered in little wisps of rug for months after you unroll it.

Normal rugs, even so-called “luxury” rugs, shed. You unroll it, and accept you’ll be vacuuming rug debris for weeks. But Burrow rugs are not normal: we’ve pioneered an innovative method that pairs traditional techniques with modern materials, preventing day-one shedding on even our highest-pile rugs.

It’s the best of both worlds: all of our performance rugs use recycled polyester fibers, which resist stains because they don’t absorb liquids. In case of emergency, a simple solution of water and detergent should remove even the most disastrous stains. So whether you’re hosting company and pouring red wine, or curling up on the couch with a bowl of curry, you don’t have to worry about messing up your floors.

We’ve partnered with a heritage rug maker in India to craft our rugs by hand, blending the best of traditional techniques with high performance materials. This is a point of pride for us not just because it makes a better rug, but because it also contributes to a sustainable, ethical economy in rural areas, providing quality jobs with high standards for working conditions.

Like everything from Burrow, all our rugs ship for free. Gone are the days of waiting weeks — or even months — for home goods to crawl from a distribution center to your house, and paying an arm and a leg for special freight on top of it. Plus, you can return it within 30 days of delivery.
