Here’s what happens next
This is where you’ll find everything you need to know about delivery day, and how to prepare. One very important note, first: with large deliveries (you know, like a couch), UPS will occasionally put the boxes on separate trucks. We’ll follow up with details the moment we get them, but if your order is partially delivered, this is most likely the case and the rest of your order should arrive later that day or the very next.
We recommend hanging on to the packaging, just in case it’s not a Goldilocks match.

We recommend inviting a friend or family member to lend a hand. While each individual box is easy to handle for one person, it’s much easier to tackle assembly with a helper. You should start by opening the box labeled “Arms,” that’s the one with the instructions inside.
You'll also receive an email with a link to a digital version of the assembly instructions just before delivery.
Ordered velvet? You’ll find a brush in one of the boxes. You can use it to gently brush the velvet material to restore the nap — the little pattern the fabric makes when you run a finger along it — to a uniform direction.

Our tables are flat-packed in compact boxes and all you’ll have to do is attach the legs or the base. That said, be careful opening the box and use the packaging as a mat to protect the tabletop and your floor during assembly.

Our Carta Bench will arrive in two separate boxes, while our Serif Bench will arrive in one.

Each shelving unit is flat-packed in a compact box. If you ordered multiple units, they’ll arrive in multiple boxes. The assembly instructions are printed on a template poster, included in each box, that you can tape to the wall to help hang your shelf and align multiple units, if you have them.

Please note that each shelving unit can hold 90 pounds total, or 30 pounds per shelf.
Task chairs are delivered by their manufacturer, Eurostyle, and include everything you need to set them up. We don’t recommend trying to disassemble these chairs after you get them set up, so if you’re moving soon, it may be best to leave them in the box until they’re at their final home.
Our bar carts are flat-packed in compact boxes. As always, be careful opening the box and use the packaging as a mat to protect the bar cart and your floor during assembly.
Your new rug comes rolled in a protective plastic wrap. Cut open one end of the tube rather than going lengthwise at first, so you don’t accidentally slice your rug.
Don’t be alarmed if your rug sheds a little during the first few months. We recommend lightly vacuuming your rug regularly, going with the grain of the pile.

Our Pilot Desk will arrive in two separate boxes, one for the desk top and one for the legs. We recommend inviting a friend or family member to lend a hand.
The desk top will ship upside down in the packaging, so the legs can be attached while the top is still in the box. That said, be careful opening the box and use the packaging as a mat to protect the desk and your floor during assembly to avoid any scuffs or scratches.
The Circa Bed ships in just a few boxes via UPS – depending on the size you order. Assembly is simple but we recommend inviting a friend or family member to lend a hand. We suggest you start by laying all the pieces out on the floor, including the frame and slats. You'll also receive an email with a link to a digital version of the assembly instructions just before delivery.
The Lyric Mattress arrives in a single box via UPS and will be wrapped in plastic and vacuum-sealed. It can be a bit heavy, so we recommend getting a partner to help lift it up any stairs. Once unwrapped, it will take at least 3 hours to expand and up to 36 hours to reach the intended firmness.
The Prospect Nightstands & Dressers arrive in just a few boxes via UPS – depending on the size you order. Each package can be heavy, so we recommend getting a partner to help lift them up any stairs. Although each box is well-padded, please be cautious to make sure corners don’t dent or crack. Assembly is simple but we recommend inviting a friend or family member to lend a hand. You'll also receive an email with a link to a digital version of the assembly instructions just before delivery.
We have included an anti-tip kit with each Prospect Dresser – to allow you to secure the dresser to a wall, for additional strength and stability. Unlike some anti-tip kits, our hardware is integrated into the design of the dressers, and not just stapled to the back. We highly recommend installing the anti-tip hardware according to the assembly instructions to prevent any instability.
We’ve partnered with SIJO, an award-winning bedding brand, to offer an assortment of sheets, pillow inserts, duvet covers, duvet inserts, and mattress protectors. Sheets and duvets are available in standard Full, Queen, & King sizes and ship in 5 - 7 business days.
The Vesper Lounge Chair arrives in a single box, and the ottoman, if you ordered one, arrives in a separate box. It's very easy to set it up by yourself, but it never hurts to have a partner. If you want to read ahead, you can find a digital version of the assembly instructions here.
About our shipping partners
Our furniture is delivered exclusively by FedEx, but some softgoods and accessories, like pillows or rugs, are handled by USPS or DHL. If you ordered furniture, we strongly recommend signing up for FedEx Delivery Manager; it’s a free service that gives you more visibility into your deliveries — from Burrow and anyone else sending you things via FedEx!
Delays, backorders, and other bummers
We pride ourselves on fast delivery on every product. If you place an order that includes a backordered item, we'll still send the in-stock items ASAP and the backordered item once it's back in stock. Your order confirmation email includes an estimated ship date for all items, but we'll send you a separate email when each part of your order ships.
