The Index Desk extends the simple, straightforward carpentry of the wider collection into a compact writer’s desk. The Index Collection is an exploration of simple carpentry across forms, and the Index Desk is no exception. The frame is precision milled from solid hardwood, while the shelf and work surface are made from high-performance engineered core with a durable, stain-proof seal.

The Index Desk does a lot with a few simple parts. The compact footprint fits places an office-style desk wouldn’t, whether that’s the corner of the living room, a place to drop mail by the door, or in the kitchen. It even has a little pocket shelf to hide away clutter (without losing anything important to the depths of a drawer).

We can’t tell you what to do with your desk. But we did design it so that setting up your desk will be the easiest thing you ever do at it. Simply slide the shelves into the grooves on the frame, and securely attach with our proprietary knurled screws — you don’t even need any additional tools, because we include a handy ratchet screwdriver.
