Title Triple Storage Bookshelf Oak - Wood
High Quality Despite a Dearth of Information
I was looking at these online but found the amount of info on the website lacking. The materials weren't described exactly, weight of units, weight and dimensions of boxes, etc. We were headed to LA (we live hundreds of miles away) and thought we could look at the shelves in the showroom before buying, however they don't display them in the showroom. This is rediculous. The sales person was able to tell me that the shelves are actually made of MDF, which was nearly a deal breaker for me but we rolled the dice and bought them anyway. The veneer is very well done and they look great. I also don't detect any of the mdf/formaldehyde odor that often comes with mdf. The vertical supports are solid wood. They are spliced with a fastener in the middle so they ship smaller and the fitting is very well done and tight. The units were extraordinarily well packed. Lots of cardboard and spacers and wrapping, etc. We ordered the "Oak" colored veneer and I think it looks a bit flat and cold, espcially right next to actual oak flooring. The units are really sturdy and stable. The wall mounting rod has pre-drilled holes but the spacing didn't line up with the studs in our wall. The wall isn't sheetrock so we couln't use hollow wall anchors. After some consideration, we decided to mount a board to the studs and then mount the shelves to the board. It looks fine and is very secure, which is good since we're in earthquake country. We actually ordered 4 units - a three unit shelf and a single - and they all line up side by side nicely. We never actually received tracking info and I had to contact customer service for that, but I found them responsive, polite and helpful. Each unit comes in three boxes! So with the four shelves we got 12 boxes!! The cabinets are just a little bit shallow. I'm using to store my shoes and most of the shoes don't quite fit (I wear womens 11 or mens 9.5) so unless your shoes are smaller it isn't a great option for shoes. Lastly, we also ordered a bed frame and three weeks later is hasn't even shepped out due to "supply chain issues"? Hmm. We will see ...

This bookshelf is everything I was looking for in terms of quality and aesthetics. It is extremely sturdy, beautifully finished, and gives me plenty of useful storage/display space without dominating my living room. It is also pretty straightforward to assemble, though having someone around to help you out would definitely make it easier. I definitely recommend this product!

It's beautifully made and extremely easy to assemble. I was able to assemble it with a nosy toddler running around. The only reason I am giving it four stars instead of five is because of the long wait time. I ordered in December and was given a 4 to 6 week estimate but received it in March after 13 weeks.

The shelves seem to be a well made product. The assembly was relatively simple. It works with our decor. I wish the Burrow staff was better at fielding pre purchase questions.
