Shift Sleeper Sofa

In the end, the sofa is perfect, and works just as advertised. The quality seems good. The assembly was smooth, though a little harder than I expected. (On one step, it quite hard to line up the leg screws with the holes than it should have been, though once I did, things seemed aligned.) The only disappointment is the Burrow customer service. They're definitely of the "send an email into the void and maybe we'll get back to you someday" school of customer service.

The couch was well packaged for shipping and thankfully placed up the stairs on my porch. It's easier to assemble with two people, but manageable with just one.

Best Sleeper Sofa

I was looking for a high quality sleeper sofa that had the comfort quality of a regular queen size bed. I was not disappointed. The sofa is in my den and the quality is and style is excellent!

I struggled to find a sleep sofa that would fit into a small guest room with very small doors. This was the perfect solution. The seating is very firm but as a second sofa in my apartment it's good enough for me to sit on and read a book comfortably. The bed is super comfortable and I won't feel bad putting guests on it.

Was not expecting to like it this much...

We replaced our guest bed with this and I was expecting to use it almost exclusively for its sleeping function, but it has become my favorite place to sit in the house. It is definitely firm, but I find the firmness to be supportive and comforting. I have noticed that I tend to sit on our primary couch to "relax" and this one with my laptop as a comfy place to work. The material is a little rough on the skin, but feels durable and looks beautiful. It has transformed our guestroom from a place that got used once in a while to a daily hangout room in our apartment! I can't speak yet to its comfort for sleeping, but really like the idea of the mattress being on the floor instead of a flimsy pull out frame. As some other folks have said, it is challenging to assemble as the pieces don't line up perfectly, but with enough hands and patience it was worth the work. It took two people with the extra help of a third for a few of the steps. Great packaging, clear directions, love that it doesn't require any additional tools. I will say it does need a day or two to off-gas before sleeping on it if you are sensitive to smells. Overall, I highly recommend!!!

Stylish and functional!

I spent a lot of time researching sleeper couches and landed on the Shift for a few reasons: 1. I needed to be able to carry it up my small staircase/door so the couch needed to come in pieces for me to build 2. I wanted a nice looking couch that would more often act as a couch in my office than a bed 3. I wanted something that fit in small spaces but also that accommodated a queen mattress 4. I didn't want the metal bars that traditional pullouts come with The Shift checks all the boxes - and was SUPER easy to set up. I did about 75% myself and had my husband help with the other 25%. It looks really nice and modern. The mattress is a true mattress that looks like a real bed when pulled out. As any sleepers go, the sitting area is stiff - I imagine this will improve with time. Really excited about this purchase and would recommend to others looking for a couch for similar reasons to me!
