About this piece
Our spun metal side table features a unique, inverted design — that is, you can flip it on either end, with the taller base drum as a pedestal or on top. It shares the same primitive, foundational design language as the Kettle Coffee Table, and the same customization options: choose between a sleek black base or chic brass, and pick a simple wood top or an elegant Carrara marble one.
Take it from the top, or the bottom
Each end of the Kettle Side Table has an identical rim to set the tabletop, which means it’s up to you which of the two asymmetrical base drums are on top. With the taller section on the bottom, it feels a bit more traditional; invert it, and you get a hip shape with a bit of postmodern quirkiness.
We celebrate inside the box thinking
The two spun metal drums of the Kettle base have a single, reversible thumbscrew connection in the middle — which allows the halves to securely nest inside of each other so a more manageable box arrives at your door. And it’s not just that it’s convenient, it’s also more efficient: a small box means less cardboard and less wasted space during shipping.
Durable from the top down
Each of the Kettle tabletops are unique in their own way, but they’re both durable, long-lasting choices, whether you choose simple, solid wood or coaster-free Carrara marble. The marble is sealed from spills with a two-phase finishing process and the wood is protected with an invisible coat that repels stains.
